Before you arrive

Follow these steps to get the best out your appointment and your finished tattoo

  1. Get plenty of rest: Make sure you get a good night's sleep before your appointment. Being well-rested will help you feel more relaxed and better able to handle any discomfort during the tattooing process.
  2. Eat a healthy meal: Have a good meal before your appointment. It's important to have some food in your system to prevent lightheadedness or fainting during the tattoo. You may also want to buy some sweets/ chocolate and a sugary drink to bring to the appointment to keep your energy levels up during the appointment.
  3. Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water before your appointment. Being well-hydrated will help your skin better accept the tattoo ink and reduce the chances of swelling and irritation.
  4. Hydrate and prepare your skin. The week prior to your tattoo, exfoliate and moisturise daily to make sure your skin is in the best possible condition to receive the tattoo. This will aid with healing and keeping your finished tattoo bright.
  5. Dress appropriately: layers are best to stay warm/cool. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that will allow the artist to access the area you're getting tattooed. Avoid wearing anything too tight or restrictive that could irritate the tattooed area. Avoid white clothes or anything you may not want to get dirty as blood and ink can stain.
  6. Avoid alcohol and drugs: Do not consume alcohol or drugs before your appointment (Unless prescribed). These substances can thin your blood and make the tattooing process more difficult and painful. Be sure to make note on your consent form before the appointment if you are taking any medication which you may need in an emergency or that may change how the tattoo proceeds.
  7. Bring a friend: If you're feeling nervous or anxious, consider bringing a friend or family member with you for support (One companion only). However, make sure they do not distract you or the artist during the tattooing process.
  8. Payment of the final tattoo balance is accepted as cash or bank transfer upon completion of the session.
  9. You may bring personal entertainment items like headphones, earplugs or book/kindle if you feel like you would benefit from the distraction during the tattoo. We play movies during the day for clients usually. Please be aware that we cannot give the Wi-Fi password to clients so you will need to pre-download or use your own data if using phone/tablet.
  10. Follow aftercare instructions: After your tattoo is completed, I will provide you with aftercare instructions. Follow these instructions carefully to ensure your tattoo heals properly and looks its best.
